Daisey Sews

Here we go, the pictures I promised some time ago. Or at least some of them.
I recently finished this dress and sizing it in an alteration. It’s creation was commissioned of me for a bridesmaid in a wedding to be held mid July if I have my dates correct. It’s got a mid length skirt, strapless underbodice, and sheer overlay and draped shoulder. Everything else is done in a matching cotton/poly blend, and it’s also got bones, weeee!
All in all, I think it turned out pretty damn good, but I think that’ll be settled when I hear from the owner of a new bridesmaid dress when it arrives. and surprisingly, after all this orange, it stills remains as my favorite color.

Uggg school has gotten in the way of work again. Worse than last time, definitely. Anywayd, a brief update: I’m working on finishing up a big project, I should be shipping it out next week or so. I’ll try to get pics for it, but we’ll see how well I do that. Since I kinda forgot last time I promised pics. I finished a few small things I’ve been meaning to photograph as well…
As for those small things, I’ve got a few commissions, one of which involved custom work, so fingers crossed I can convince her to let me take pictures of her so I can share it. These next five weeks will probably be less active than usual, but I’ll try to keep up on it when I can.
Although the classes I’m taking should help this biz in the long run so I shouldn’t complain too much

A garage sale down the street had tables full of 1yd and larger cuts of fabric and it was heaven. She was selling them for $2 a cut, I made off with $80+ worth of fabric for only &20. Many things need to be made, and have in fact been made already. Which sucks cause I was supposed to finish gtav this week…
But then it doesn’t really suck at all cause cheap fabric is the tits

Ugg the pattern I have been so in love with has failed me with it’s poorly designed waistband *sobs in the corner* I trusted you!

Aight as of now this is a strictly business blog. No more Dean Winchester in gym shorts here, no sir

Let’s see, my second big project has been shipped, I have a couple fun commissions to keep me preoccupied, I’m officially starting sewing lessons next week, and Owl City sounds great on super loud surround sound. I’d say things are good.

Let’s make Dean in gym shorts the most reblogged picture on Tumblr.

Oh my goodness I have jobs. I won’t be a completely broke ass college student. For a week at least.
